Position: Maintenance Officer (Trade)
Location: Yarrawonga Health, Yarrawonga, Victoria

Yarrawonga Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Officer (Trade) to join our team and contribute to the smooth operation and upkeep of our health service facilities. If you have a strong background in building maintenance, an eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients, residents, staff, and visitors, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Operations: Attend to the operation, maintenance, and repair of all Health Service owned buildings, services, plant, and equipment.
- General Assistance: Provide support to the Facilities Manager/Maintenance Supervisor in carrying out maintenance and installation work across all buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety standards, regulations, and policies to maintain the safe operation of the Health Service.
- Facility Support: Perform a variety of general maintenance tasks as required to support the health service’s day-to-day operations.
- Quality Care: Contribute to a safe and efficient environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in general maintenance and trades-related work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly and handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders, including staff, patients, and visitors.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, or similar).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or facilities management setting is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive and positive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork.
