About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaners to join our Environmental Services team. The ideal candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the overall cleanliness and infection control within Yarrawonga Health.

Key Selection Criteria:

• Must be able to work all shifts, weekly, afternoon and weekends including public holidays
• Computer skills at a basic level;
• Understanding of confidentiality;
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills;
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people;
• Self-motivated with a high level of communication and organisational skills demonstrated ability to work alone.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in cleaning, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.

Skills and Abilities:

• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
