Nurse Unit Manager - Karana (0.4 EFT - Job Share Arrangement)

As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Karana, ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and supporting a team of nursing and support staff. You will be responsible for creating an environment that promotes quality care, resident dignity, and staff development.

This is a job share role 32 hours per fortnight,

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring that high-quality care is delivered to all residents.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Aged Care Unit, including staff allocation, rostering, and resource management.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a positive work environment that supports team collaboration, education, and professional development.
• Respond to and manage clinical emergencies and escalations, providing expert guidance to staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with residents and their families, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the ongoing development of aged care services.
