Intake Administration Assistant

Permanent Part-Time (32 hours per week)

Classification HS1a - HS1 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the role:

As a Intake Administration Assistant will provide efficient and effective intake services and administration support across the Community Services department of Yarrawonga Health. The Intake Administration Assistant will be highly organised and flexible within their day to day duties. This position will work as a member of the Community Services department and will provide high level administrative and clerical services within the Intake team. The role involves working collaboratively with intake and clinical staff, as well as clients and referrers in the community.

The role requires timely and efficient management and processing of incoming referrals, confidential management of medical record establishment and adherence to YH Intake processes. The position will also be required to perform administrative and reporting functions including correction of reporting errors, generating statistical and other reports, invoicing and data submissions as directed by the Operational Director of Community Services.

Working closely with our Operational Director Community Services and the Community Services team your daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls to respond to queries of visitors/clients/staff/referrers;
  • Complete the administration of the central intake process including phone calls, data entry and management of client records;
  • Invoicing of clients, case managers or other patient funding sources;
  • Complete eligibility checks for private patients;
  • Ensure that the maintenance of office equipment is fully functional, effective and efficient and arrange appropriate maintenance where necessary.
