About the role:

Yarrawonga Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Nurse to join our Education team as a Clinical Support Nurse. A Clinical Support Nurse demonstrates flexibility in supporting all levels of staff across our Aged Care facilities. The Clinical Support Nurse will work collaboratively with our Education Coordinator, Nurse Unit Managers and Director Clinical Service to support clinical education and training programs in our Aged Care facilities to ensure staff are provided with a supported and quality learning experience. In this role you will reinforce theoretical education and assists learners to develop the necessary skills, attitudes and knowledge for specialty practice. They act as a professional role model for learners and collaborate with managers and staff in the clinical areas to support and promote excellence in clinical knowledge and skills. Our education team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Nurses and Midwifes in the public health sector.

Applications are invited from registered nursing staff members interested in expanding their expertise in the clinical support nurse role. 

This position provides clinical support to student nurses, graduate nurses and other nursing staff at Yarrawonga Health. This will include the orientation of students, formative and summative assessments, and debriefing sessions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current Nursing Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Agency (AHPRA).

Selection Criteria:

  • Registered Nurse Division 1 with Current Victorian Registration
  • Minimum Three (3) Years’ Experience in a Range of Clinical Care Disciplines
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated Teaching Skills
  • Must be available Monday - Wednesday every week.
