Education Coordinator

About the role:
The Education Coordinator (EC) is an integral part of Yarrawonga Health’s (YH) Clinical Services team, working with clinical teams across all areas of YH including Acute, Aged Care and Community Services as required.
The Education Coordinator reports to the Executive Director Clinical Services (EDCS) and is supported by Clinical Support Nurses (CSN) to design, coordinate the delivery of training and development for clinical staff, identify professional development opportunities, and facilitate the scheduling of mandatory competencies.
The Education Coordinator has responsibility to develop and coordinate an annual comprehensive in-service training program based on identified needs, as well as annual clinical competency assessment programs.

Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
- Bachelor-level (or equivalent) degree in a relevant health profession obtained from a recognised University provider.
- Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and/or relevant governing body.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or working towards)
Desirable:
- Post graduate qualification in Teaching / Education or Leadership;
- Previous experience in a Clinical Support Nurse/Education based role (or equivalent role).
Key Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrate well-developed communication and interpersonal skills;
- Possess knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the National Health Reform, National Standards and Aged Care Standards;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver of excellent clinical care standards in accordance with Yarrawonga Health philosophy, policies and procedures;
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to work independently of others;
- An ability to represent as a patient advocate;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentially.
