About the role:

As a Health Care Worker you are responsible for supporting healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring the well-being of residents. They work under the supervision of Registered Nurses, Physicians, and other Healthcare providers.

Working in Allawah, you will provide high quality and safe personal care utilising a consumer-focused approach to our residents, ensuring their needs are met with respect, dignity and positivity. You will participate in their total care and orientate to their individual needs to enable them to live a meaningful life and maintain their self-respect.

We embrace flexibility and work with our candidates to find the best employment relationship, to meet a positive work life balance. Staff provide care Monday to Sunday and a mix of day, afternoon and some night shifts available.

Our staff have access to supportive mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check prior to commencement.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Previous Health Care Worker experience
  • Well-developed oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to priorities and work effectively without direct supervision

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Support) CHC33021 or equivalent
  • Current Level 1 First Aid certificate

Skills and Abilities:

  • Compassion and empathy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols and procedures.
