WSP is a key player in the Australian and NSW Water Market, collaborating closely with Water industry clients to develop and deliver a diverse range of projects and programs across the region. We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring leader to spearhead business development and client management for our water business in NSW, driving strategic initiatives, fostering client satisfaction, and cultivating team excellence. This role is integral to our mission of delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for the future of water infrastructure in NSW.

What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Director – Clients & Growth, Water, the regional Client Executive for NSW will work closely with WSP business leaders and key Water industry sector clients to develop and deliver strategic outcomes for the Water sector in the NSW Region, driving business growth, achieving high levels of client satisfaction, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Acting as a Key Account Lead in accordance with WSP’s Global Client Program requirements, you will manage our water market clients, identify and secure new revenue streams, and coordinate all major Water industry pursuits for the NSW region.

About You

You’re a leader with an approachable style that inspires trust and encourages collaboration. A natural influencer, you are known for building strong, lasting relationships with internal teams, and fostering strong, beneficial partnerships with clients, industry bodies, and key industry stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. Your in-depth understanding of the Water sector in both NSW and Australia will help you excel in this role

Experience

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or a related field (postgraduate or Chartered status highly regarded).
  • More than 10 years of experience in Business Development and/or Client Management
  • Prior experience in a formal Leadership role
  • Experience in developing and implementing major/strategic client relationship plans
  • Demonstrable experience with major high-value sales in a technically complex environment
  • Demonstrable experience with, and understanding of, various contracting models and teaming approaches.
