Digital
Our Digital team applies the latest technological innovations to our client’s complex problems across sectors and projects.
Our integrated service combines a full suite of Digital solutions including software development, data analytics, visualisation, digital engineering, and cloud technologies to deliver information and efficiency that supports decision-making, time and cost savings, and improved community outcomes.
You will be working with a range of government and commercial clients to enhance the operation and maintenance of many critical infrastructure systems that keep our world moving - Many of our clients operate large-scale, network-based systems such as road, rail, and water supply networks, with tangible outcomes that affect us all.
Some of the exciting projects the team have worked on, have included:
- Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) - TMR have tested and deployed Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) in real-world, large-scale deployments in Queensland. WSP has been working with TMR to provide technical expert support, including centralised application development and the Integration and DevOps of AWS Cloud Infrastructure.
- Sydney Water - In response to high-volume breakdown maintenance activities, the DevOps team designed and implemented a new approach to planning and scheduling mechanical and electrical asset maintenance.
- Telstra Digital Workflow - We developed an online forms service that allows NSW Family and Community Services (FACS) applicants to fill out, submit, and manage applications and responsible parties to be notified and contribute to the application workflow.
- Energy Rating – We built a website that facilitates evaluating and issuing of energy ratings for electrical appliances for sale in Australia and New Zealand.

What you’ll do:
You would have already had proven extensive experience as a Tester/Test Analyst.
As a Test Analyst within our dynamic digital team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality web applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define, execute, and automate test strategies, ensuring our digital products meet the highest standards and exceed client expectations.
A typical day would look like (but not limited to):
- Developing comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned to project requirements
- Executing manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure quality
- Functional testing against user stories, sprint testing, testing documentation, automated testing and regression testing
- Investigating and troubleshoot software issues
- Creating, delivering and maintaining high-quality products in an Agile environment
- Defect management
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders across different organisational levels
- Working closely with developers, business analysts, project managers and clients to ensure alignment on project goals
- Staying up to date with testing best-practice, methodologies, tools and industry trends
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologie
You will also bring with you:
- Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science or similar
- Relevant software testing qualifications
- The ability to adhere to recognised project methodologies, including Agile
- Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholder audiences
- Experience in web technologies & fast moving web environments, including an awareness of the different requirements for mobile technologies and platforms
- Strong attention to detail
- Working knowledge of UI and UX
- Automated test experience
- Ability to take the initiative, be assertive and think strategically, with an appreciation of the business strategy.
- Strong ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Appreciation of all aspects of the systems/software development life cycle.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong customer service focus
