Due to continued growth, our Energy business unit is looking to hire Electrical Engineers to join our Electrical and Infrastructure Team. This is an opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of professionals to deliver a range of significant projects for public and private sector clients, both locally and nationally, across a wide range of Energy, Power and other critical infrastructure projects.
This role is open to applicants across Australia, and in particular within Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Our Energy team helps clients maintain secure and reliable power supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and deliver future energy schemes to help our cities transition to a more sustainable world. Our team has expertise in solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution and systems and automation.
What you’ll do:
- Work within a team of engineers to provide electrical engineering design and documentation deliver a range of multi-discipline projects and pursuits.
- Manage or design lead for engineering projects and packages, growing in size and complexity as your career develops.
- Work with our clients to ensure that our work coordinates with their schedule to support procurement and delivery of their projects.
- Undertake short-term site visits and/or off-site secondments.
- Undertake field and desktop investigations related to the condition, appropriateness, and capacity of existing electrical infrastructure.
- Engage with our clients in an effective and professional manner.
About you:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications – e.g. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- A broad range of experience levels with a background in electrical technical advice or design of critical electrical systems (such as mining, water, processing plants or transport) or the power industry (such as generation, transmission or distribution utilities).
- Experience working within an engineering consultancy, or in a design role for a contractor or asset owner.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of specifications, conceptual, and detailed design of electrical industrial/infrastructure projects.
- A “business as usual” approach to Safety in Design with the identification and resolution of safety risks and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing proposals for consulting engagements. Contribution to business development and related pursuits would be highly regarded.
- Power systems and modelling experience (e.g. one of CYMCAP, SKM PTW, PowerCAD, PSS/E, DigSilent or CDEGS).
- Secondary system design and protection system design experience and skills.
