We are now seeking a passionate Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our Brisbane team. The Role:

As an Electrical Engineer within WSP’s Building Services group, you will work on a variety of exciting and impactful projects, providing expertise on electrical systems design for commercial, social infrastructure, and defence sectors. You will have the opportunity to take a lead role on small to medium-sized projects and support larger, multi-disciplinary initiatives. Working closely with a talented team, you will contribute to the design of innovative, sustainable electrical solutions and ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing electrical design expertise on single and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Delivering best practices and outcomes that save costs and time for clients.
• Taking the lead on small to medium-sized engineering design projects and supporting larger projects.
• Communicating effectively with external clients and authorities as well as internal teams (colleagues, managers).
• Building strong client relationships and identifying business development opportunities.
• Contributing to the development and growth of the business unit aligned with strategic goals.
• Ensuring compliance with Australian building codes and standards in all designs.

About You:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer with 2-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in building services. You should have a strong foundation in electrical systems design, along with the ability to work within Australian building codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Ideally working towards chartered status.
• Experience with BIM software (Revit) or the willingness to learn.
• Practical experience in the building services sector, with knowledge of Australian codes and standards.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• A proven track record of managing competing priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and delivering quality results.
• A passion for sustainability and innovative design.
