Due to the growth and success of our Energy team across the generation and new energy sectors, we are currently looking to engage Mid to Senior to Principal Control Systems Engineer(s) to join us in Brisbane and Melbourne.

Have the opportunity to join a dedicated and high-performing team of Energy professionals to deliver a range of significant projects, with a focus on power generation and new energy, for both public and private sector clients across the nation. Be on the forefront of pumped hydro, co-fired hydrogen gas turbine generation and other alternative generation technologies.

Mid-Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Control Systems / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering)
  • Typically, 3-6 years of relevant experience within a similar position,
  • Preferably exposed to the delivery of control systems/SCADA systems for projects in power generation (coal, gas, CCGT, hydro, renewables), oil and gas, and other process industries, which could include specification, owner’s engineer, concept, and detail design, testing and commissioning roles
  • Willingness to manage projects and provide guidance to junior team members,
  • Ability to deliver the best client outcomes, whilst managing safety, risk, and commercial performance
  • Demonstrates a strong client focus, willing to participate in business development activities, including client relationship management, pursuits, and proposal preparation
  • Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Senior Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Control Systems / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering)
  • Eligible/preferably CPENG status and RPEQ status
  • Typically, 7+ years of experience within delivery of control systems/SCADA systems for projects in power generation (coal, gas, CCGT, hydro, renewables), oil and gas, and other process industries, which could include specification, owner’s engineer, concept, and detail design, testing and commissioning roles
  • Ability to manage projects and act as the Lead Engineer, supervising teams of professional staff including developing/mentoring junior engineers
  • Ability to deliver the best client outcomes, whilst managing safety, risk, and commercial performance
  • Demonstrates a strong client focus, willing to participate in business development activities, including client relationship management, pursuits, and proposal preparation
  • Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written. 

Principal Level:

  • Bachelors Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent.
  • Chartered status CPENG and registered (RPEQ, RPEV)
  • Significant experience in thermal and renewable generation
  • Demonstrated delivery of several complex power generation projects
  • Extensive relevant experience with some time spent within a consultancy.
  • Demonstrated competence in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of high-profile projects.
  • Competent in managing risk on substantial projects.
  • High level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes.
  • Demonstrated multiple instances of delivering best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/time.
  • Established a recognised pro le within industry associations e.g. Active involvement in shaping the industry.
  • Competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
  • Prepares and reviews high level and complex technical reports.
  • Experience in business development.
  • Extensive experienced in applying QA and OH&S systems.
  • Experience in supervising graduates and managing engineers and senior engineers.
  • Strong experience in client relationships.
  • Built technical capability of others (training & mentoring) and transferred technical expertise within the organisation.
