Our Transport and Infrastructure team leverages a collaborative approach, the latest technology and a culture of innovation across the planning, design, and management phases to deliver sustainable connectivity, mobility, and resiliency to Australian communities.

What you’ll do:

This is a rewarding role that will allow you to continue to grow your career as a leader within Signaling - one that would no doubt add more value to your current signaling experience and skillset, plus also see you be part of the future footprint of communities in Queensland for generations to come.

Strategically important to our future growth and impact, we are looking for talented Signaling professionals - with both leadership capabilities as well as having a can-do attitude.

The successful candidate will also be a team player, and be able to work with a range of stakeholders including influencing senior leaders within the Rail industry both internally and externally.

As we are a national business model, you will also have the opportunity to work on both local and interstate projects and for a broad range of government and private sector clients. 

A typical day would look like (but not be limited to):

  • Providing technical expertise for conventional signaling
  • Managing and monitor the technical quality of work performed by the team and promote a culture of technical excellence within the team
  • Managing the scope and monitor multiple projects of varying complexity and size
  • Reviewing or verify and interpret engineering drawings and reports and provide technical input into a diverse range of projects and ensure that work produced complies with quality system and client requirements
  • Being an engaged and active team member whose responsibilities will include mentoring of junior team members in design and business development
  • Seeking information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needs and encourage client focus in colleagues
  • Defining and implementing action plans to respond to client feedback and exceed client expectations whilst taking responsibility for client satisfaction and loyalty

What we'll love about you:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent
  • Possess RPEQ status
  • Have proven and extensive experience within Signaling at Senior or Principal Level
  • Have local experience and competence essential
  • Demonstrated competence in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of high profile projects
  • Competent in managing risk on substantial rail projects
  • High level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes
  • Demonstrated multiple instances of delivering best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/time
  • Competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size
  • Prepares and reviews high level and complex technical reports
  • Built technical capability of others (training & mentoring) and transferred technical expertise within the organisation
