What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Associate Geo-Environmental Engineer (Waste) in our Brisbane office, you’ll lead the charge in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for waste management and geo-environmental engineering. You’ll play a key role in managing environmental risks, developing waste strategies, and contributing to transformative projects in civil infrastructure, urban development, and resource management.

  • Lead and deliver projects focused on waste management, including landfill design, waste containment systems, and resource recovery solutions.
  • Develop cutting-edge solutions for geo-environmental challenges, integrating waste management into broader infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation for waste-related projects across planning, design, and execution phases.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients in the waste and geo-environmental sectors, supporting both project delivery and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure technical excellence in waste and geo-environmental engineering, overseeing quality and risk management.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment and sharing expertise in waste management and geo-environmental engineering.
  • Support operational management by contributing to strategies that drive business growth in waste and environmental services.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering, with significant experience in waste and geo-environmental engineering.
  • Strong expertise in waste management, including landfill design, leachate systems, geosynthetics, and resource recovery.
  • Experience addressing subsurface environmental risks, embankments, earthworks, and surface water management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership in delivering multidisciplinary projects, particularly those involving waste management.
  • A highly motivated, innovative mindset with a commitment to sustainability and technical excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects, make strategic decisions, and mentor engineering professionals.
