The role: WSP is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Logan Water Partnership team, based in Beenleigh, QLD. Your role will be to deliver concept and detailed electrical designs to the agreed Logan Water value for money and safety outcomes, and support the delivery team with site queries and inspections.

Your day-to-day:

  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and Design Managers to develop and document designs and associated deliverables for various Work Packages and Project Development Tasks.
  • Travel to construction sites as needed to assist with site queries, undertake site inspections, witness factory and site testing, and verify as-constructed details.
  • Work with electrical draftsmen/designers to develop, check, and sign-off on electrical designs and drawings.
  • Manage projects that may include both new works and renewals across sewer, water, and treatment areas.

Ideally you will have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical).
  • CPEng and RPEQ in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of Electrical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency with power systems, switchboards, generators, variable speed drives, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to produce design deliverables including single line drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, load lists, and instrument lists.
  • Preferred experience in design and site inspection on water/wastewater infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in the successful delivery of designs and projects.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
