Join our team of intelligent and collaborative Changemakers and make your mark on tomorrow! In this role you’ll work with the Mine Engineering & Stability team as a Mining Engineer, based in the Brisbane or Perth office.

Utilise your proven open pit &/or underground mines experience as you collaborate with your industry leading teammates and the wider Mining Services business. This role will offer you a variety of experience and exposure to iconic projects which will set you up for success.

What you’ll do:

  • Mine design for open pit and/or underground mines, scheduling, optimisation, equipment selection and operating and capital cost estimates.
  • Carry out technical work in support of due diligence reviews supporting mergers, acquisitions under the supervision of senior engineers;
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders, proposals and reports for clients;
  • Liaise with mining engineers, resource geologists, and specialists from other disciplines;
  • Undertake travel both domestically and internationally as required to support project work; and
  • Provide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority safety hazards.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil / Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Science (majoring in Geology). 
  • Proven relevant experience, preferably within consultancy.
  • As this work is spread across both open pit and underground projects you will need to demonstrate experience in either of these areas.
  • It is expected that you will have excellent communication skills, strong report writing skills and solid analytical and problem-solving ability. 
  • Previous consulting experience will be highly regarded.
