The Opportunity

The IT Financial Analyst will be responsible for managing and analyzing the financial aspects of IT projects and operations. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting ensuring alignment between IT investments and organizational goals.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage budgets for IT departments and projects. Conduct financial forecasting and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. 
  • Cost Management: Analyze IT spending and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Monitor ongoing costs and provide insights on financial performance. 
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with IT and finance teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting. Engage with project managers to assess the financial impacts of initiatives. 
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting. 
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies related to IT expenditures. 

About You

You’re likely to have skills, qualifications and experience in the following areas.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; Master’s degree, CFA or CPA certification is a plus. 
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in an IT or technology-driven environment. 
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analytics tools (Excel, PowerBI, Oracle) 
  • Attributes: Excellent communication, understanding of software and IT infrastructure costs, confidentiality in handling sensitive information and strategic mindset.
