What you’ll do

As an Associate Structural Engineer you will:

  • Operate in a market-facing and design delivery focused role;
  • Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with clients;
  • Proactively determine, manage, monitor and control scope of works;
  • Project lead work across the design, tender and delivery phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects;
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of project and structural engineering work in compliance with relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards – and in alignment with schedules and budgets;
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally;
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team;
  • Mentor, train and develop the careers of junior engineers
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

About you

The successful candidate we are looking for will have:

  • Bachelor to Masters’ level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering);
  • Typically 10+ years’ industry experience on building projects in the commercial, retail, defence, health or education sectors;
  • Technical expertise in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete;
  • Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
  • The ability to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects.
