About the Role:

Join WSP in Adelaide as a Senior Civil Engineer and play a key role in our Geo-Environmental Engineering team. This position is crucial for conducting significant projects and delivering innovative solutions with a focus on water and wastewater management. You will help shape future-ready outcomes for our clients and communities.

About Us:

Our Geo-Environmental Engineering team designs and constructs essential infrastructure to support effective site management and environmental protection. We specialise in:

  • Developing and maintaining water dams, including new constructions, safety reviews, and upgrades
  • Creating containment and evaporation ponds for water, leachate, and brine
  • Systems provision of technical advice in different water management civil disciplines
  • Constructing solid waste containment cells and groundwater cut-off barriers
  • Managing gas and vapor control systems
  • Planning and executing site closures, redevelopments, and remediation projects
  • Performing ancillary earthworks

We serve clients across Water, Mining, Waste, Transport, and Construction sectors, providing comprehensive services from planning through to post-closure. Our team includes geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineers, supported by CAD and drafting specialists, ensuring excellence in every project phase.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partake in high-impact projects, with a focus on water management systems civil design, structures and dams.
  • Contribute to implement strategies to handle subsurface environmental risks, embankments, earthworks, and surface water management.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of technical documentation, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to project success and business development.
  • Handle complex project delivery, mitigate risks, and ensure top-quality results.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Participate in strategic planning and operational management in different disciplines.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering with substantial experience in water sector civil works.
  • Expertise in subsurface environmental risks, embankments, earthworks, and water infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary projects and delivering high-quality results.
  • Motivated and strategic thinker, committed to technical excellence and innovation.
