WSP is looking for Senior/Lead/Principal level Wind Engineers. Depending on level of experience, this is a multi-faceted role that will comprise of people and technical leadership, internal/external relationship management, and project management responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be based in Melbourne, with the option to be located in Sydney or Brisbane.

Our team has expertise in solar, wind, hydropower, thermal energy, waste-to-energy and bioenergy, battery storage, network distribution and systems and automation.
What you’ll do:
- Collaborate on the technical design and delivery of projects,
- Be a part of a multi-disciplined engineering team delivering wind pre-construction and operational energy yield assessments, technical due diligence, power curve verification, and independent engineering for utility scale wind projects, and with scope for people leadership and management.
- Provide the technical leadership of Wind engineering as a subject matter expert.
- Lead the scope and budget development in response to client needs and objectives,
- Interface with internal/external stakeholders to:
- Allocate resources,
- Track budgets,
- Assist with material requisitions,
- Approve vendor requirements and procurement,
- Contribute to the broader team effort of business development including the participation in project proposals,
- Adopt an autonomous working style within a multi-disciplined engineering environment,
- Undertake site visits and field investigations when required.
About you:
- Hold a relevant engineering degree from a recognised institution,
- Hold or have eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia,
- Extensive experience within a Senior Wind Engineer or similar role, ideally within a consultancy,
- Proven ability to lead a successful team,
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills,
- Possess strong analytical skills, report writing and broad experience with all wind engineering tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant IEC standards.
