About the AMP Team:

Our AMP team is at the forefront of water and sewer network planning and management, providing consulting services in strategic and master planning, business cases, and asset management across the water infrastructure sector. With a growing backlog of work, we are well-positioned for future success with opportunities from top clients like Unitywater, Sydney Water, Melbourne Water, and many more.

The Opportunity:

As our Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading our dynamic AMP water team and ensuring the day-to-day success of client-focused projects. Reporting to the Executive of Asset Management & Planning, you’ll oversee team performance, financial management, and resource planning, while fostering a culture of well-being and professional development for your team. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the commercial and financial performance of the team
• Leading business development, tendering, and pursuit activities
• Maintaining and achieving strategic performance goals
• Mentoring, coaching, and supporting staff development
• Promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting work-life balance
• Translating strategic plans into actionable steps and ensuring successful implementation
• Playing an active role in shaping the industry through committees, publishing papers, and more

What we’re looking for:

This role is key to WSP’s continued growth and success, and we’re seeking a strategic leader who can support the development of our team while nurturing a high-performance culture. You’ll be well-connected in the water utilities market (preferably in Victoria), with experience in:

• Leading teams and managing projects in a consulting environment
• Commercial aspects of projects and infrastructure planning, particularly in water, recycled water, and sewerage
• Developing and executing strategic plans for team growth
• Winning new work and building client relationships
