About the role

The WSP Building Services team offers a fresh and energetic culture generated from passionate leadership, top-tier projects and inspired, collaborative thinking. With high retention rates, new vacancies are rare however we currently have an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on a variety of building projects and provide support to the Electrical team lead.

What you'll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be part of a wider multidisciplinary network of professional engineers working on both local and national projects. Specific activities will include:

• Providing electrical design expertise on a variety of mid to top tier multi-disciplinary building projects
• Delivering best practice and outcomes for clients, saving on costs and time 
• Taking the lead on engineering design when required, project coordination and management
• Communicating effectively with all external and internal stakeholders and project teams
• Being a supporting figure and mentor for lesser experienced engineers 
• Building solid client relationships and representing the business with the local and regional markets 

Ideally you will:

• Have a passion for what you do
• Hold a recognized Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering with CPEng an advantage
• Have at least 6 years experience working within Building Services, ideally in a consulting environment
• Demonstrate expertise in designing electrical systems within Building Services
• Have the ability to coordinate and understand relevant building services disciplines, including Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire Protection, and Environmentally Sustainable Design.
• Have proven project experience in the building services sector across a variety of project types
• Possess a working knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
• Demonstrate a history of effectively managing competing priorities, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
