About the Role

In this role, you will manage the demand forecasting process for all products in the portfolio by leading a detailed monthly forecast review with the relevant Sales and Product teams. This involves aligning with agreed Latest Estimate (LE) Sales forecasts, which cover all Active products, New Product Development (NPD) items, End-Of-Life products, and the clearance of Slow Moving and Obsolete Stock (SLOBS).

You will work in partnership with the aligned Supply Planner to deliver and maintain the required levels of inventory, ensuring that Sales, Margin, Availability, and inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.

This role is a 12 month contract maternity leave cover.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead the monthly demand forecasting review process.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to align with the monthly Sales Latest Estimate (LE) forecast.
  • Update demand forecasts in Anaplan as per agreed monthly planning cycles.
  • Review Demand Forecast Accuracy (DFA) monthly and build action plans for variances.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Product teams to adjust Demand Forecasts.
  • Support the Demand Lead in the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process by completing detailed demand forecasts and accuracy reporting.
  • Assist in scenario planning and risk management during Post Seasonal Reviews (PSRs), New Product Development (NPD) planning, and SLOB reviews
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning processes.
  • Ensure forecast changes incorporate customer, market, and sales history data.
  • Provide detailed reporting for the S&OP review process.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience (5+ years) in a demand planning or related planning role working in a support office national role and leading S&OP processes preferred
  • A highly organised team player with well-established analytical capabilities
  • Detail orientated
  • Well versed in demand forecasting using current forecasting / planning systems
  • Good commercial acumen
  • shows initiative in problem solving,
  • strong written / verbal communication,
  • good negotiation skills with ability to influence and drive outcomes
