About the Role

As a key member of the commercial team, the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for fostering strong relationships with the Product/Brand and Design/Sourcing teams to drive commercial outcomes.

This role involves collaborating with team members to provide strategic advice on commercial matters, defining and achieving relevant budgets and KPIs, and using data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Additionally, the Finance Business Partner will lead the reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, and support the Corporate Plan across the function.

What you’ll be doing

  • Review financials related to Product/Brand and Design/Sourcing monthly to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
  • Deliver month-end reports and track sourcing savings.
  • Manage marketing spend and oversee the B2C ecommerce platform's P&L.
  • Establish robust processes for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Support Fit to Success initiatives and provide recommendations to enhance margins and efficiency.
  • Analyse marketing metrics such as cost-per-lead, lead conversion, and acquisition costs.
  • Track marketing ROI in partnership with Sales/Service.
  • Oversee product lifecycle management, from development to phase-out, ensuring alignment with group strategy through product reviews and range rationalization.
  • Drive strategic stock decisions and develop a New Product Development (NPD) framework.
  • Prepare and present investment business cases, providing recommendations for profit improvement.
  • Support the finance team and wider business to improve commercial acumen.
  • Embody the values of WWG and actively support and drive a high-performing team culture to become the indispensable business partner.

What we’re looking for

You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:

  • 5+ years in a business partnering role
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • An exceptional communicator, who has a natural flair for influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience working with big data
  • Retail / Product / Marketing related experience is highly beneficial
