About the Role

The primary purpose of the L5 Storeperson is to manage Credits and Return Authorities (RAs), overseeing administration duties and internal communications. This supervisory role ensures the safe, efficient, and effective operation of the warehouse, including the receiving, handling, and dispatching of goods. Additionally, the L5 Storeperson coordinates and supports the picking, packing, and invoicing of orders to maintain seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Direct the checking of stock for damage and discrepancies against invoices.
  • Oversee the picking, packing, and dispatching of orders and outgoing goods.
  • Manage the processing of returns and credits.
  • Ensure accurate entry of delivery slips, requisitions, and invoices.
  • Communicate with delivery drivers and share information regarding stock issues.
  • Operate and direct the use of machinery and equipment safely.
  • Complete pick reports, conduct audits, and participate in team meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, recycling waste when possible.
  • Ensure all activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Supervise staff to ensure safety and adherence to company policies and practices.

What we’re looking for

  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Proficient in administration tasks, including Outlook, Excel, and internal communications.
  • Leadership skills, with experience managing a team of 5-10 members.
  • Skilled in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and trolleys.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel preferred.
  • Understanding of distribution centre functions, with adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Solid literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
