About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive new business growth by identifying and engaging businesses in need of uniform programs. This pivotal role focuses on expanding opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calling and leveraging client networks to build strong pipelines.
With clear monthly goals for appointments and conversions, the BDM develops strategic engagement plans, positions for tenders, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results, ensuring a seamless and impactful customer experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Consistently meet or surpass sales goals while maintaining strong adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop trusted partnerships with key stakeholders by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions, ensuring long-term client loyalty and retention.
- Manage and streamline daily processes, ensuring smooth operations and alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Address and resolve client concerns quickly and efficiently while ensuring adherence to contracts, policies, and compliance standards.
- Identify potential clients, nurture leads, and proactively develop strategies to convert prospects into long-term customers.
- Take the lead in preparing tender submissions and crafting competitive pricing strategies to secure new business and enhance market share.
- Create detailed sales forecasts, track progress against financial targets, and regularly evaluate performance metrics to ensure alignment with goals.
- Oversee the rollout and execution of significant contracts and project initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery of outcomes.
- Track sales figures and expenses meticulously, ensuring they remain within budget parameters and highlighting any discrepancies or opportunities for cost savings.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, ensuring that policies, updates, and procedures are clearly communicated to maintain alignment and mutual support.

What we’re looking for
You will be highly commercial and possess strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels. Along with your business acumen, you will have:
- Ideally 5+ in a Business Development role
- Tender experience is highly regarded
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage own time and priorities to achieve goals
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing at all levels
- Strong eye for detail and accuracy
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Focus on integrity
