Your Role

WorkPac is looking for a proactive and dedicated Safety Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in implementing and maintaining best practices in Workplace Health and Safety. You will focus on Pre-employment screening, Journey Management Plans, and Health and Social Care Businesses, ensuring comprehensive worksite risk and hazard assessments. Your responsibilities will also include engaging with internal stakeholders, supporting quality incident investigations, and delivering safety training for regional Healthcare teams, all in alignment with WorkPac’s Safety Management System. Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing pre-assignment medical assessments for field team members nationwide.
  • Assessing automated Journey Management Plans for field team members nationally.
  • Building and sustaining productive relationships with Healthcare team members and managers as a subject matter expert.
  • Providing expert advice and support for incident responses and investigations.
  • Participating in WHS consultation processes, including team meetings.
  • Assisting the National Safety & Risk team in implementing strategic WHS objectives and initiatives.
  • Supporting compliance with hazard and risk management KPIs, including client hazard registers, risk assessments, and the development and delivery of safety improvement plans.
  • Coaching new operatives on safety and risk management.

Your Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Relevant WHS qualifications (e.g., Cert III WHS) or 2-3 years of experience in an administrative project support role, preferably within Mining, Construction, or Engineering sectors, with a strong desire to expand your safety knowledge.
  • Experience in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigations.
  • A solid understanding of relevant WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, and AS/NZ Standards.
