The Role:

Tellers are the front-line in providing customer service excellence.  This customer-facing role is responsible for:

  • Conducting customer banking transactions,
  • Selling appropriate products and services and
  • Referring the customer to sales specialists where appropriate. 

Teller Expectations:

  • Provide great first impressions for the customers, including great personal presentation, greeting customers with a smile and a welcoming attitude, and fantastic communication, both face to face and over the phone. 
  • Interact with customers in a helpful manner and really connect with each person;
  • Deliver on commitments promised to customers, including proactive follow-up of all inquiries; excellent written communication to all parties, and successful outcome for all concerned.

Skills and attributes you would obtain:

  • Fantastic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Polished presentation, with professional uniforms provided.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, judgement, maturity and discretion.
  • Great organisational skills, including the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and manage varying workloads effectively.
  • A good understanding of Work, Health & Safety requirements.
  • Fantastic on-the-job experience, working within a supportive team.
  • Ability to use current technology to deliver services including word processing, database entry, and use of spreadsheets.
