Work & Training together with our amazing Host in the Kingston area, are pleased to offer this career making apprenticeship aimed at a committed and highly motivated candidate. This opportunity requires a solid a work ethic, the ability to learn on the job and follow detailed instructions, together with a genuine desire to complete this qualification. 

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

  • You would be employed by Work & Training – one of Tasmania’s largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.
  • You would be part of a committed small team and under the guidance of the Business owner.
  • Theory training is conducted at TasTAFE.
  • Your Work & Training Apprenticeship Employment Consultant provides ongoing mentoring and employment support.

On completion of your apprenticeship, you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Landscape Construction – AHC30921

Learn how to:

  • Liaise with clients in design, layout and materials to compliment desired outcomes,
  • Install structures such as retaining walls, decks and outdoor undercover areas,
  • Improve soil quality, lawn areas and garden beds,
  • Prepare drainage outputs, install basic pipework and water system connections,
  • Create pathways, including paving, stones, aggregate and wooden boardwalks.

Essential Criteria:

  • Hold a current drivers licence and have a reliable vehicle.
  • Have a White Card.
  • Have the ability to pass a pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.
