You will be working under supervision, gaining experience and a broad range of skills to contribute to the development of a new subdivision.

  • This traineeship is three years in duration and you will obtain a Certificate III in Civil Construction - RII30920. This is a valuable qualification, recognised in all parts of Australia, and could lead to a number of different career pathways.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has:

  • A demonstrated interest in developing knowledge and skills in civil construction.
  • A very mature and capable approach to life, can use their initiative to solve problems, and can demonstrate a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • The capacity to follow procedures, instructions and safe work practices.
  • The physical capability to perform manual labouring tasks that may involve strenuous activity, repetitive actions and work in an outdoor environment.
  • A drivers licence and clean driving record.

What would this involve?

  • You would be employed by Work & Training for the duration of your training contract, & hosted our valuable client.
  • Full time hours.
  • Full entitlements including four weeks of holidays per year.
  • You would receive mentoring and support throughout the traineeship from a Work & Training Apprentice & Employment Consultant.
  • Your workplace supervisors would provide daily coaching and opportunity for growth.
  • Tasks would include general maintenance, brush cutting, clearing of areas, pipe work and assisting the team.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in operating / handling / maintaining small plant and equipment.

Wage:

  • National Training Wage Applies.
