Learning Partners are excited to offer a part time opportunity as a Learning Consultant in the area of Building & Construction.

Who are we?

Learning Partners are a Tasmanian based, innovative and highly respected, Registered Training Organisation (RTO). 

We have been successfully operating in the VET industry for 30 years. During this time, we have supported over 20,000 Learners to achieve skill sets & qualifications.

We specialise in nationally recognised, workplace based training and assessment, across a range of training packages, including Building & Construction. 

We are the recent winners of the 2023 Large Training Provider of the Year (Tasmania). 

The Position:

We are excited to offer the following position

  • Learning Consultant - Building & Construction
  • Part-time - casual may be negotiated

Location:

  • Based in Riverside, Tasmania
  • Delivery state-wide

Delivering the following qualification:

  • CPC40120 Certificate IV Building & Construction 

Key duties

  • One-on-one & small group training & assessment.
  • Workshop & workplace based.
  • Delivery of workshops after hours.
  • Delivery of competency based training and assessment during workshops and/or in the workplace. 
  • Mentoring & coaching.
  • Developing strong relationships with Learners & their Employers (where applicable), and ensuring positive outcomes for all stakeholders. 
  • Case load administration, including accurate completion of all training & assessment records.
  • Maintaining professionalism, quality & compliance, at all times.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Current vocational competencies & experience related to the qualifications being delivered i.e. work experience, relevant qualifications, or combination of both. 
  • Passion for education, training & assessment.
  • Ability to manage a case load of Learners & Employers. 
  • Ability to motivate Learners and ensure their progress.
  • Strong customer service, communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking & problem solving skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable and resilient.
  • Honesty & integrity.
  • Self-awareness & self-regulation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a state-wide team.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications i.e. Outlook, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive (in house support also available).
  • Ability to consistently meet the requirements of the VET quality framework & Learning Partners Quality Management System. 

 Mandatory: 

  • Experience with managing residential and/or commercial building & construction. 
  • TAESS00019 Assessor Skill Set, or Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, or willingness to attain.
  • Current Drivers Licence.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Card.
  • National Police Check.

 Desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Building and Construction.
