Work & Training, together with our valued Host are seeking applicants who may be wanting to complete their Electrotechnology Apprenticeship. We’re looking for a dedicated and reliable out-of-trade 3rd or 4th year apprentice to join a small team that undertakes both residential and commercial functions in the greater Hobart area.

What can you gain from completing an apprenticeship through Work & Training?

·        You would be employed by Work & Training – One of the largest employer of Apprentices and Trainees in Tasmania, and hosted for the duration of your apprenticeship.

·        You would be part of a committed team and under guidance of the business owner.

·        Theory training is conducted with a Registered Training Organisation.

·        Your Work & Training Field Officer provides mentoring and employment support.

·        At the completion of your apprenticeship you would receive a nationally recognised Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician - (UEE30820)

 

What you will bring to the team:

·        A wide range of experience in residential and commercial applications,

·        High level communication, customer service and organisational skills,

·        Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a small team environment,

·        A positive attitude, self-motivation and a genuine desire to complete the qualification,

·        Excellent knowledge of Work Health and Safety procedures.

Essential attributes:

·        Current manual drivers licence and reliable vehicle,

·        White Card.

As a high-risk industry, the successful applicant will need to pass a pre-employment medical that will include a visual, alcohol and drug test.

National Training Wages apply to this position with applications closing Sunday 4th of August.

What happens next?

·        Suitable applicants will be contacted for an initial discussion regarding this apprenticeship.

·        You may be asked to complete aptitude testing, or other documentation.

·        The third stage of recruitment involves a face to face interview with the host employer.

·        If you are the successful applicant, you will be signed up in to your qualification, and a start date will be arranged!
