About the team
Our Group Accounting team is responsible for the consolidation and analysis of the Wesfarmers Group accounts, management and improvement of finance systems, accounting and taxation matters for the Corporate Office, as well as providing a source of expertise for the Wesfarmers Group.
What you’ll do
Reporting to our Team Leader - Corporate Accounting, this role will:
- Maintain the accounting records for the Wesfarmers Limited corporate entities
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis
- Prepare budgets and forecasts
- Assist with statutory tax requirements
- Assist with half year and year end reporting requirements
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and support with project work as required
What you’ll need
- Previous experience working in a similar accounting role within a corporate or professional services environment, preferably in audit / accounting advisory
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (TechnologyOne / FinanceOne and Onestream would be highly advantageous)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- A genuine interest and passion to learn and develop new skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a Commerce or Business related discipline
- CA/CPA/CIMA accredited
Nice to have’s
- Experience in creating and updating dashboard reports in Power BI
