The opportunity:
As Australasia’s largest and fastest-growing bus operator, we are undergoing an exciting period of transformation. Kinetic's finance team plays a critical role in sustaining our economic development and wellbeing, and we have an opportunity for an Accounts Officer who has a knack for effective accounts management and can thrive in a crucial support function.
You’ll be involved in:
- Managing various account administration activities, including (but not limited to) cash banking, petty cash, and credit applications.
- Ensuring our accounts information is accurate, up-to-date, and used efficiently within the Accounts process.
- Processing debtor and creditor transactions in a timely and efficient manner to meet weekly and month-end deadlines.
- Assisting the Management Accountant with month-end processes including posting of month-end journals, intercompany transactions, and reconciliation of balance sheet items.
- Liaising with external auditors as necessary to facilitate and support external audit process.
The boxes you'll tick:
- Bachelor of Business / Accounting / Finance or related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a similar accounts officer/administration role where numerical and analytical skills were crucial.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders
- Organisational and prioritisation skills to meet various deadlines.
- A positive approach with adapting to a continual changing work environment.
- Strong computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and relevant accounting/finance systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Business Central is advantageous.
