Role Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Management Accountant, where you'll report directly to the Finance Manager. Your steady hand will be instrumental in ensuring Kinetic's seamless compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, a task of heightened importance during our period of significant strategic growth. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of strengthening our relationships with key stakeholders, including esteemed entities such as the State of Victoria and Queensland, by delivering precise and timely financial insights and analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly financial and management reports, including interpretation and analysis.
  • Conduct month-end reporting activities, ensuring timely and accurate general ledger close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Contribute to effective cash flow management through analysis of revenue and expenditure trends.
  • Drive continuous improvement in key finance processes, focusing on revenue, receivables, purchases, payables, payroll, and fixed assets.
  • Assist in business planning by providing relevant financial data.
  • Prepare cash flow and treasury reports, along with analysis on various treasury and working capital matters.
  • Complete monthly BAS statements and assist in budget development.
  • Liaise with external auditors as necessary and ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislative requirements.
  • Maintain professional and ethical management practices to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and CA/CPA qualified.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a financial or management accountant, preferably in a large multinational or ASX-listed group. Transportation or infrastructure experience is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics/BC or similar ERPs.
  • Prior audit experience in a "Big 4"/mid-tier professional services firm is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, audit, financial close, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated with a positive approach to a changing work environment.
  • Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and advanced Excel skills.
