Role Purpose: We’re looking for a proactive individual to enhance our business development efforts in Melbourne. In this role, you’ll focus on building relationships and expanding our market presence. A background in busing or transportation isn’t necessary; what matters most is your drive to grow our territory and cultivate strong client connections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Actively pursue new opportunities, focusing on expanding our reach and establishing valuable client relationships.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and grow partnerships with key clients, ensuring ongoing business and maximising contract value.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Create tailored quotes and proposals that address client requirements and drive business growth.
  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, providing insights on pipeline progress and achievements.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Self-Starter: Motivated to work independently and take ownership of projects and goals.
  • Results-Oriented: Focused on achieving targets with a demonstrated record of measurable success.
  • Analytical Thinker: Skilled in analysing market trends and customer needs to inform strategic initiatives.

Stakeholders: You will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, local government officials, employee organisations, and school representatives, as well as internal teams such as General Managers and Operations Controllers.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or substantial relevant experience in sales and marketing. Proficiency in MS Office and Excel is essential.
