We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. In this role, you will assist in centralising our procurement function to support the growing needs of the business. By collaborating with key stakeholders, you’ll drive strategic initiatives that enhance procurement practices and deliver value across our organisation.
What you’ll do
- Support the Head of Procurement in managing procurement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and implement best practices.
- Lead and coordinate sourcing activities, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFTs.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage supplier agreements.
- Conduct market research, pricing, and benchmarking.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Report and analyse spend patterns to identify areas of value creation.
- Promote compliance with social procurement standards and Australian regulations.
What we’re looking for
- At least 5 years’ experience in procurement or purchasing roles.
- Proven experience with Social Procurement organisations such as Social Traders, Kinaway, or Supply Nation.
- A tertiary qualification in business management, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
