The opportunity:

We're seeking a qualified and detailed focused Spray Painter to join our team at the Launceston where you'll play a key role in restoring and refinishing our bus fleet to a high professional standard.

This is a great opportunity to apply your skills in a clean, well-equipped workshop, supported by a team that values quality, safety and pride in presentation.

You’ll be involved in:

  • End-to-end painting process of vehicles - sealing, sanding, masking, priming and spray painting.
  • Cut & polish detailing to prepare vehicles for services.
  • Ensuring all repairs meet industry compliance requirements and company expectations.
  • Mentor and assist Apprentices and Trade Assistants as required whilst making sure they complete all relevant work safely and at the required quality.

The boxes you’ll tick: 

  • Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or other relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience in spray painting, preferably in heavy vehicles or large surface areas
  • Medium Rigid (MR) licence or higher is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Good understanding of workshop operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
