Team Leader - Training

Location: Queensland (with travel to Townsville and Cairns)

Are you an experienced Driver Trainer with a passion for leadership, training, and compliance? We are looking for a Team Leader - Training to oversee our training and assessment programs, ensuring our workforce is skilled, safe, and ready for success.

About the Role:

  • Lead and support a team of Driver Trainers, ensuring high-quality training delivery.
  • Develop and implement engaging learning and development programs.
  • Manage and maintain training records, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Deliver professional and standardised driver induction programs.
  • Provide on-road and classroom training, including support for employees requiring additional training.
  • Identify funding and upskilling opportunities through government initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Travel to Townsville and Cairns depots (2-3 days per month) as required.
  • Be prepared to start early to meet business demands when necessary.

About You:

  • Experienced in RTO administration and apprenticeship processes (preferred).
  • A credible heavy vehicle driver, ideally with specialist bus industry experience.
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116).
  • Preferably hold a Certificate III in Driving Operations.
  • Experience in leading small teams (5-6 direct reports preferred).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to obtain a Driver Authorisation (DA), as bus driving is a requirement.
