The role
The purpose of this role is to identify the skill requirements for our bus drivers, deliver a high-quality learning program, and assess on-road driving capability thereby ensuring we keep our promises to public safety and quality operations. There is flexibility according to availability.
What you'll be doing
- Ensure all training is delivered, and records kept in compliance with relevant training regulations and workplace procedures.
- Making sound and timely assessment decisions within specified competency frameworks.
- Be a champion of our Health & Safety systems.
- Provide additional on-road and other training support to drivers as required.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry rules and regulations as well as accreditation procedures.
- Provide case-by-case expert technical advice regarding driver capability standards to the Senior Management Team.
- Report any concerns regarding trainee progress to the relevant manager and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Deliver corporate and driver education to groups in a classroom setting.
What you'll bring
- Have full working rights in Australia.
- NSW Driving Instructor License (Minimum MR class)
- TLI41222 - Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training (or equivalent)
- TAEASS412 – Assess Competence OR TAEASS401 and TAEASS402 (or willingness to obtain quickly)
- Experience with the delivery of HVCBA in NSW
- TAE40122 – Certificate IV Training & Assessment will be VERY highly regarded.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
