About Us:
The Cooly Hotel is one of Gold Coast’s iconic hotspots, located right on the stunning beachfront of Coolangatta Beach. The Hotel features a restaurant and beer garden, TAB, Keno and Gaming Lounge, an upstairs Bandroom for live gigs, function spaces and pool tables, making it a popular destination for locals and a must-visit for tourists.
The Role:
As the Hotel Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall management and success of the venue, including bar, restaurant, gaming, retail and entertainment services. Your leadership will be key to maintaining high service standards, driving business performance, and fostering a positive team culture in this dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring a seamless guest experience.
· Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
· Enhance and develop the business's sales functions to drive growth and profitability.
· Manage budgets and financial reporting, ensuring cost controls are in place.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory Hotel and Health & Safety requirements.
· Foster relationships and enhance the hotel's reputation.
· Maintain and enhance the hotel’s status as a benchmark entertainment venue, while overseeing all related activities and initiatives.
· Represent the hotel at external events by managing and coordinating offsite events and festivals.
What We're Looking For:
· Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a senior leadership role within the hospitality industry.
· A hands-on, operational manager who leads from the front and is the face of the business.
· Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting and delivering growth.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Working knowledge and experience across multiple departments including bars, restaurant, gaming and retail.
· Ability to inspire your team to deliver excellence.
· A proactive approach with a passion for hospitality.
Mandatory Qualifications:
· RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues)
· Approved Manager’s License
· Gaming Nomination & License
· Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) certification
· QLD RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
· QLD RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
