Waymark Hotels is seeking experienced Hotel Managers to lead our growing teams across Tropical Far North Queensland.

Reporting to the Area Manager, the Hotel Manager will be required to provide strong leadership and management of all Hotel/ Venue operations and employees.

 Your responsibilities and duties will include but not be limited to:  

  • Ensuring the hotel is compliant with legislative requirements and the companies’ policies and procedures.
  • Analysing and reporting on key business metrics and ensure constant improvement of hotel operations.
  • Manage budgets/expenses, analyse and interpret financial information and monitor sales and profits.
  • Actively networks amongst the community to encourage loyalty and understand customer/ community needs.
  • Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services.
  • Deal with maintenance issues, shortages in staff or equipment, renovations etc.  

The following skills, behaviors, and qualifications are essential: 

  • Current Approved Manager Licence, RMLV, Gaming Nominee, RSA and RSG 
  • Strong leadership, training, and motivational skills with excellent communication 
  • High-level standard of personal presentation & hygiene 
  • Availability to work hospitality hours.
  • Ability to manage conflict, remain calm under pressure and work unsupervised.
  • Thorough understanding of P & L.
  • Hotel management experience in a high-volume food, bar, function, gaming, and retail environment - minimum 5 years full-time.

This is a perfect opportunity for an experienced Licensee/GM/Hotel Manager with experience in running multi-faceted venues with strong knowledge of F&B and Gaming operations.
