As a Wastewater Operator, you’re regularly outdoors. You’ll operate 6 gravity treatment pond sites in the Goldfields area. You’ll ensure our wastewater treatment plants meet wastewater quality requirements to supply feed water that ensure the performance of our complex treatment plants is achieved and licence requirements for reuse and disposal to our external customers and the environment are met.

This includes monitoring and controlling the treatment processes, maintenance, and management of valving arrangements, WWQMS sampling, routine analysis, governance inspections, pond observations and weed management.

The role will involve:

  • Work Closely with the Goldfields Tertiary treatment team to ensure a safe and reliable product is delivered to our key customers, through the understanding of our complex treatment process
  • Assist with dam wall inspections in the water catchment area when required
  • Assist with surveillance of the reservoir protection zone when required
  • Required to manage and engage with contractors while they are conducting work on treatment sites
  • You’ll operate, maintain, monitor and repair water & wastewater assets
  • You’ll participate in safe job planning, team meetings and workplace inspections
  • You’ll also participate in overtime and call out availability rosters as required

Desirable skills and experience

  • Western Australian “C” Class
  • Experience in civil work and/or water supply and/or wastewater systems
  • Confined space desirable
  • Working at heights desirable
  • Forklift HRWL desirable
  • Excavator HRWL Desirable
