Who are we?
When you join Water Corporation, you play an important role for the people of WA. Our services are essential for life - everyday, millions of Western Australians rely on us to deliver and manage water across our state.
If you’re driven to make a meaningful contribution, you’ve come to the right place.
What does a Water Operator do?
Picture a plumber fixing a burst pipe in your house. Now think about a leaking pipe in the street, same problem.
The only difference is you’re keeping your community’s water supply and sewer network running.
You’ll be part of the Wastewater team where as a Water Industry Operator, you’re regularly outdoors, you’re digging trenches, inspecting pipelines, and repairing broken water and wastewater services.
You’re learning a collection of skills that can set you on your way to a technical, management or leadership role.
Your main concern is keeping the water supply network running, that’s finding and fixing faults on pipes and joints. It’s upgrading the water supply network and it’s understanding the end-to-end water cycle and how water networks help your local community.
