About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of Operational Technology capital projects. You will work independently to manage all phases of projects, from scoping through to commissioning and closeout. You will be engaging with internal and external stakeholders. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet all technical, safety, environmental and quality standards.

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A good understanding of Control Systems, Automation or Process Control;
  • An understanding of PMBOK application in Project Management
  • Substantial experience in a project management role providing engineering services, including:
  • Managing all project phases from scoping through delivery and closeout
  • Leading tendering processes and contract administration
  • Supervising planning, design, investigation and construction teams

What the role will involve:

  • Leading cross-functional teams through capital project delivery processes
  • Ensuring projects adhere to project management procedures and meet OSH, environmental and quality standards
  • Monitoring, controlling and reporting on project timelines, budgets and outcomes
  • Identifying project risks, implementing mitigations, and monitoring their effectiveness
  • Negotiating and establishing contracts to procure required services, equipment and works
  • Coordinating bid preparation and contract award processes
  • Mentoring junior PMs in successful project management
  • Working closely with OT Panel Members in the execution of contracts
  • Safely delivering OT projects based on Water Corporation policies and standards
