Do you like problem solving and working on a variety of tasks and assets to ensure continued supply of water, wastewater, drainage, and irrigation infrastructure?

Based in the Great Southern Region, the role is responsible for providing support and quality assurance to Service Delivery and our central branches through the provision of specialist civil engineering expertise.

To be successful in the role you will possess a sound problem solving and report writing capability and will be able to demonstrate well developed interpersonal and relationship management skills together with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision within a multidisciplinary team environment.

You will have experience in conducting testing, data gathering, analysis and provision of technical reports which are all key functions of the role. 

You also support project delivery by providing technical advice and may supervise contractors and small contracts.

You can read and interpret multi-disciplinary drawings and possess well developed computing skills with knowledge of Microsoft, engineering, and SAP software.  

  

You’ve achieved outcomes throughout your career which display how you successfully engage and garner support of operators, internal stakeholders, and customers.

Your engagement and coordination of contractors on operational sites has helped maintain levels of service for the community and you also enjoy providing advice and guiding corrective work on dams and dam safety, drainage infrastructure, pipelines, and conducting asset condition assessments.

 

 Key skills and experience include:

·         Engineering Degree or Tertiary qualification with substantial experience in an Engineering discipline relevant to water industry operations.

·         Considerable experience in the operation and maintenance of Water, Wastewater and Drainage assets.

·         Considerable experience with asset design, construction, commissioning, and handover for civil engineering construction projects.

·         Considerable experience with undertaking and coordination of asset condition assessment type activities.

·         ‘C’ class Drivers Licence.

·         A working knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems such as SAP/Maximo is desirable.
