This permanent full-time role is a great opportunity to better yourself in the water industry!


A Senior Civil Operator is required to lead and coordinate the operational maintenance of our complex water treatment plants, networks and wastewater systems based in the towns of Hopetoun, Ravensthorpe and Munglinup.

You will possess a high degree of leadership and planning skills.

You will share your knowledge and skills by providing advice to Trainees, Operators, whilst liaising with the Shire and stakeholders ensuring legislative and company compliance.

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity will help you to grow and develop and advance into our complex metropolitan plants.

 

What the role will involve.

  • Coordinate and manage effective operation, maintenance, and repairs to water and wastewater treatment assets in the South Coastal District, using automated controls systems (such as SCADA).
  • Attend to faults, ability to work after-hours, and participate on a standby roster.
  • Undertake water sampling and maintain records and reports.
  • Assist with job planning to ensure safety and equipment is appropriately resourced and meets required standards.
  • Provide advice and/or assist Trainees, Operators and other contractors as required.
  • Liaise with Shires, consultants, and contractors for major works projects to ensure legislative and company compliance.
  • Records and documents information relevant to the scheduled work in an accurate and timely manner, including use of forms, computers and other devices as required.
  • Ensuring that all work is undertaken with safety as the priority in the provision of a work environment where no injury is considered acceptable, and all activities are undertaken without compromising health and safety.
  • Undertake competency and performance assessments of Operators as required.

 

What we require from you.

  • As a minimum, completion of Certificate III in National Water Package (NWP)
  • Valid Western Australian ‘C’ Class Driver’s License
  • Available for rostered overtime and call-out emergencies outside of normal working hours.

With this in mind, if the successful candidate requires additional training, they will be offered $85,452 + Super, providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

For candidates who bring proven technical and leadership experience to the role, a starting salary of $87,844 + Super will be offered to reflect their expertise.
