About the role

We have a permanent opportunity for a Meter Laboratory Technician joining our Asset Monitoring & System Investigations team in Shenton Park. You’ll carry out meter testing, analysis and calibration of water revenue meters for internal and external customers and organisations in a NATA certified facility. What the role will involve

  • Provide advice on water revenue meter measurement techniques, metering issues and analysis
  • Develop effective relationships with Projects and Field Operations teams to facilitate reliable assessment and forecasting of specialist instrumentation needs
  • Maintain the workshop and calibration equipment, practices and records to defined NATA and Australian standards
  • Carry out post use testing of meters in compliance with the National Measurement Institute standard
  • Provide data and data analysis related to meter replacement frequency
  • Carry out periodical and/or annual meter stock takes
  • Refurbish and calibrate metered standpipes for revenue purposes

Key skills and experience

You’ll have a diploma is a science discipline, with experience in a testing laboratory environment and NATA flow regulation and requirements. Your knowledge of measurement and statistical representation of results, and regulatory compliance and reporting frameworks will ensure success in this role. Ideally you’ve have broad technical knowledge of water meters, and demonstrated ability to build and drive positive, collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
