About the role

Are you looking for a hands on, field-based role with only a small number of admin based tasks? As a Field Inspector you our customer facing link within Water Corporation. You’ll start your day on site, general working hours are between 6am to 6pm to minimise disruption to customers and allow you to have ownership of your day. The Mid West Regional Field Support Team deliver the cyclic meter reading program across the Mid-West regions as well as supporting the regions water efficiency measures. The role has the opportunity to travel across their region, visiting and supporting unique places across the state.

What the role will involve

  • Complete water efficiency patrolling and customer education across the region
  • Investigate customer generated enquiries / complaints and provide information to assist resolution and responses to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support the meter reading program as required
  • Carry out ad hoc work such as remote logger replacements, obstruction clearance, investigations, and other projects, as required
  • Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing review of customer focussed tactical initiatives

This role would be suited to someone who likes working independently and is used to travelling for their work. On the job training will be provided for all technical aspects. 

Key skills and experience

  • Current ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • Experience undertaking field related activities supporting a customer environment
  • Ability to adapt to new technology in both the field and office
  • Strong safety values, always holding safety as highest priority

This is a field based role which includes driving to multiple locations throughout the region, working in all weather conditions while conducting meter replacements and other field based activities.
