About the role
As a Distribution Technical Advisor, you will provide operational support to ensure water quality processes and requirements is implemented across operations state-wide.
You will support stakeholder engagement and performance reporting to ensure that our drinking water quality requirements is met across all our water supply schemes. You will collaborate with a team of technical experts in water quality to support operations to deliver safe water quality in accordance with our health requirements.

What you can expect with this role
- Act as technical contact with water quality laboratories regarding laboratory processing of samples, water quality analysis and data transfer.
- Provide technical support to the regions with sampling support and Water Quality Management System alerts and violations.
- Undertake operational and strategic drinking water quality reporting.
- Provide technical input to, and assist with, the enhancement of drinking water quality management and operational reporting systems.
- Provide drinking water quality advice in relation to technical enquiries and operational issues.
- Support the drinking water Technical Working Group.
- Support the monitoring and auditing of water safety plan requirements.
- Undertake drinking water quality focussed projects and tasks, as required, contributing to the implementation of the Drinking Water Quality Framework.
- Develop and review of Corporate drinking water quality processes.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- Ideally, you would have water quality and/or public health experience.
- You will have substantial experience in water quality management processes, or a tertiary qualification in science, engineering, or equivalent.
- You have the ability to follow defined processes and be accurate to make sure tasks are completed carefully.
